Future Lions 2024

This year, Spotify and The Wall Street Journal are partnering with AKQA and the Cannes Lions International Festival to present Future Lions, a global competition. “How can Spotify spread positivity by using technology to bring listeners closer to the communities and creatives they love?” is the question that applicants are encouraged to submit ideas for.

City of Burbank Call for Artists

Artists are invited to respond to this open call to design a shade structure that can be viewed by the public in Johnny Carson Park. $400,000 is the total budget, and applications have to be mailed in.

ArteAlta

Artists are invited to submit works in any media related to the theme of Fear, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, textiles, paper, and video, to this yearly competition hosted by the Alina Art Foundation, Inarttendu, and the Council of the Region Valle d’Aosta. There will be three cash prizes, one opportunity for an exhibition, and one residency.

The International Photography Competition is holding an open call for its thirteenth year. The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is hosting the contest, which has a $1,000 prize pool and an exhibition featuring multiple photographers.

Art in Weird Places 2024: Care

Under the theme of Care, the renowned public visual and performance art festival in Manhattan will take place from October 18 to 20, 2024. Projects inviting the public to pause, reflect, and most importantly, care are open to submission from artists, performers, agitators, and carers.

2024 Robert Giard Grant for Emerging LGBTQ+ Photographers 

The inaugural international grant from Queer|Art offers $10,000 to the chosen recipient and $1,250 to all other finalists to assist with the development of projects that tackle issues related to gender, sexuality, or LGBTQ+ identity.

2024 Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists 

Now in its fifth year, this grant provides support to Black trans women artists who identify as visual artists. The winner receives $10,000, while finalists receive $1,250.

The Erin Donohue and Family Ceramics Artist Residency

This ceramics residency, organised by the Artists Association of Nantucket, will bring an artist to the island to instruct two five-week courses: an introductory one for the general public and a more advanced one for professionals and students. In addition to housing and studio space, the programme offers a $500 travel stipend, a $2,000 living expense and material stipend, and other benefits.

LexisNexis is looking for a publishing editor who will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of content for publication in multiple formats. The Analytical editor will help  to shape operationally efficient processes and systems.
